Anunnaki Ancient Aliens in New Age Spirituality and Universal Religion

Tuesday, June 28th, 2011

The purpose behind the archetypal post-diluvian system of ‘occultism’ was the enshrouding of material existence and the ‘realm of the gods’ from the people. This meant: star-gates. And it is not so surprising that the modern self-honest pursuits into the heart of the Anunnaki mysteries should throw us such a system – an ancient Anunnaki Star-Gate System that was used in the original priesthoods between men and gods, then later contributed to all kinds of various global “systems” of occultism. Indeed here we find the origins of Egyptian religious star-lore and the Judeo-Semitic Kabbalah; here we find the basis of spiritual pantheons and legions of ‘guardian’ spirits later resurrected by shadowy visions of naïve medieval sorcerers for their “magickal” grimoires. This approach continues to this day, though it is not necessary, and many of those who have worked as or with Mardukite Chamberlains can attest to this.

After three years working with the modern faction of Mardukite Chamberlains, something that has been requested by the ‘new age’ realm of esotericists and practitioners has finally arrived, useful for adepts of the tradition and the curious alike – Mardukite Wizards of the Wastelands: The Babylonian “Necronomicon” Anunnaki Magick Handbook edited by Joshua Free, following up the widely successful early 2011 companion volume, Mardukite Guardians of the Gates.

With all of this being said, many will still misunderstand and so I will summarize the above as the “first” or a priori purpose of said ‘magickal tradition’ and that is: to establish and maintain a self-honest relationship with the Anunnaki. In the case of the Mardukite tradition, we are still observing the name (semantics) by which humans first knew these beings – Anunnaki – meaning, those who “[from] heaven came to earth” and seeded not only the genetics of early “upgraded” humans but also the systems of their civilization – an evolution of the same systems and an extension of the same civilization that humans experience today.

Mardukite Necronomicon Anunnaki Legacy Collection

The greater bulk of the Mardukite work these past three years has been concerned with this very faction of the “mysteries,” meaning the clarification and definitions by which these beings were known at the inception of the ‘systems’ thousands of years ago. In essence, this is a large part of why a ‘ritual book’ such as this proves to be of little ‘practical’ interest to those ‘outside the family’ so to speak, since a prerequisite of its use is the desire and knowledge that I have just described. For many, the journey will end right there – for the way ahead is perceived as too difficult and obscure and it yields no promises of mundane wealth and guilty pleasures, because to get to the point we are describing, one self-honestly rises above these mortal programs existing only to ensnare the body; worse yet are the convoluted forms of false enlightenment that work on the mind-of-body. As has already been stated about the ‘game-theory’ of systems, those practices are very much in place – elsewhere – and those systems that are worldly based allow for them – but they are not the subject of our current pursuits here…

Anunnaki Revelations | Pathway to the Stars by James Shammash Thomas

Friday, May 20th, 2011

The following article appears in Mardukite Guardians of the Gates: The Necronomicon Anunnaki Legacy Handbook edited by Joshua Free. The excerpt is a personal reflection written by James “Shammash” Thomas, the youngest Certified Chamberlain Mardukite Minister in the world in addition to one of the longest standing initiates of the Order.

Necronomicon Anunnaki Revelations: A Pathway to the Stars
by James “Shammash” Thomas

In reflection of my own personal experiences with the Anunnaki, they are delightful and truly enlightening. They have taught me more about myself and the universe around me then I ever though possible. I’ve been shown my own existence (and the existence of everything else for that matter) in a whole new light. The ethereal realms that we believe to be so far away, are really right here, within this ancient tradition, as is possibly, all of humanities greatest ancient secrets. So why isn’t everyone looking into this tradition for the truth? I’d really love to know.

I started my work with the “Mardukite Chamberlains” in the summer of 2009. I was just about to turn seventeen and I had been involved with the “new age” for about five years prior – mainly druidism, nature magick and the Simon Necronomicon. I was searching for something new concerning the legendary book “Necronomicon” on eBay. And while I already had every “Necronomicon” under the sun, something was missing. I was looking for something new; something that had a new spin; a new way of looking at things. I found it.

I saw the Mardukite Necronomicon by Joshua Free. This instantly clicked with me in a moment for I had already owned a book by Mr. Free known as “Merlyns Magick.” As soon as I could I bought the book, and it opened up avenues of communications for me with the author, more books in that series as time went by, and a whole new way to live life and look at everything around me.

Through my personal experiences and enlightenment with the Anunnaki, I have come to view them as both teachers and friends; higher powers and those who are always there to lend a helping hand, and why not? Why should we not be able to view these things in such a way? To me this view gives me a greater connection to them. Still though, the Anunnaki deserve the highest amount of respect and it should always be given to them. They are not just there for us to dump our troubles, wants and needs on. While they will help us with those things, they are also there to teach and enlighten us. This isn’t just any old tradition thrown together and called religion.

There are those that view these beliefs as crazy or strange, and then there are those who fear it because of the amount of sense it makes and they don’t wish to see it, taking some away from what they have believed to be truth their whole lives. Some even view the Anunnaki as evil, flesh eating, blood thirsty aliens.

The Anunnaki have been there for me in ways that many others haven’t. So I have to whisk away these fanciful accusations of an “evil race of aliens.” Those who view them in a negative way, I feel sorry for. They will never know the joy and true enlightenment of working with this incredible beings.

This tradition marks what we as a race and living beings in general need to know and have needed to know for a long time. Maybe we’ve known all along and just needed to remember or maybe we lost it along the way and have just recently found it. The Anunnaki are there though, always and forever, waiting for you to discover them for yourself.

However you look at it, it’s clear that this is something much bigger then anyone could have anticipated. It’s your past, preset, and future. It’s you. In the words of Simon, “Good Hunting.”

The Mardukite Necronomicon: A Left-Hand Path Perspective by Sortileges

Tuesday, May 17th, 2011

The following article appears in Mardukite Guardians of the Gates: The Necronomicon Anunnaki Legacy Handbook edited by Joshua Free. The discourse itself is written by Sortileges, Mardukite Bishop-Patesi of Canada, who also contributed the foreword to Babylonian Myth & Magic: An Introduction.

Mardukite Necronomicon Anunnaki Cover

The Mardukite Necronomicon: A Left-Hand Path Perspective by Sortileges

My interpretation of the NECRONOMICON system is one of Self-deification: a return to the Source through the Abyss.

I see the modern Mardukite movement as the way of the Dragon; the path which leads to backward knowledge, as attempted by MARDUK himself in his “Satanic realm” of BABYLON. It is the path of Antinomianism, and essentially of Truth. As Simon said: “God is the only safe thing to be.”(1)

The Mardukite Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible is a collection of the most ancient writings currently available to humanity – thus it is the roots of all systems on the planet. There is a cipher of true spirituality hidden in the literal meaning of the Tablets, it is very important in my opinion to read and meditate upon them, seeking deeper meaning; all the while remembering that they were written by a human being, just like you – even channeled material pass through-out the medium of a human organism. It appears that the ANUNAKI [I use and prefer the original Mardukite transliteration of the name] are very real, literal beings as much as they are archetypes of the human psych. The approach taken to them, whether, theistic, atheistic, spiritual, whatever, is inconsequential. Only Self-honesty matter. As Above, so Below.

Concerning a “Satanic” approach to the NECRONOMICON: with the reading the complete cycle immediately comes the realization that dualities in spirituality were born from a political context combined with subjective thinking about the role/title of the seven leading ANUNAKI in relation to their later personification in various cultures.(2) Doing this actually reveals a plethora of contradictions upon many other cult’s mythos. For example, the Zoroastrian paradigm is often depicted as the origin of the “good vs evil” locked in eternal battle, the good guy being AHURA MAZDA (God), and the evil one ANGRA MAINYU (Satan).

LHPers thus stereotypically despise MAZDA and glorify MAINYU. Yet MAZDA is revealed in the Necro-Cycle as MARDUK, son of ENKI. The later of which is actually the historical SATAN… Indeed, “the demons of today are the gods of yesterday.”

Another example is the slaying of TIAMAT by MARDUK, of which I will not speak(3) except to say that this act should, in my opinion, be viewed as a metaphor of successfully “conquering” the Abyss in Self-honesty; not some war of polarities. It is more about a return to the Source than an epic of Creation, or is it? These examples easily reveal that good and evil are political, not spiritual concepts and all political concepts must be avoided to reach Self-honesty.

A Self-honest Seeker, coming from any tradition, after having sorted out what he thought was right, will then easily be able to create a “Mardukite” pathworking based on his knowledge and needs. This pathworking will without a doubt be purer than what was previously practiced. Indeed, the BABILI, the Ascent up the Ladder of Light, is probably the most undefiled and still usable(4) model of a Cosmic Tree.

Many LHPers seems to have a need to oppose polarities, to have an enemy. This surely comes from the title of SATAN being the accuser, the opposition, the adversary. Yet these titles imply, in my opinion, accusing and opposing the Slave Program, seeking to “go home, again.” There is actually no polarity, no duality, no left, no right, those are only human conditioned interpretation of reality, points of self-delusion. For the self-honest magickian, only UP, or even DOWN depending on your aesthetic preference matter, no matter what tradition is practiced; traditions are human creations, as opposed to true spirituality which existed long before the creation of the slave-race. Thus, separating spiritual paths between Left and Right is simply ridiculous. It only add more polarities and politics; in other words, it brings you right into the trap of the Program and remove yourself from Self-honesty, from reality, which is the true Magick.

The NECRONOMICON, in any form, should in my opinion be used by magickians already able to perform a magickal working without a step by step guide. Sincere Seekers will know what to do. My personal advice is to always be respectful with the entities you come in contact with, not doing so is being disrespectful with yourself. The ANUNAKI resonates within; all comes from within. Do not blindly worship any-thing instead seek a personal relationship with your Gods, you shall thus become in their images; “God is the only safe thing to be.”

End notes:
(1) Simon, Gates of the Necronomicon, Avon, 2006. p. 21
(2) Such correspondence are by all means interesting, yet often only create more polarities.
(3) The incongruity of this is explained clearly enough in the Mardukite Cycle of literature.
(4) The Sumerian system hardly apply to magickal pathworking, for reasons quite well explained in the cycle.

“My Mardukite Necronomicon Curse: Answering the Critics” by Joshua Free

Wednesday, May 11th, 2011

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of being involved with the Necronomicon gestalt, at least in the modern literary sense, is that more energy is spent on the ‘answering to the critics’ concerning the use of the name and title – Necronomicon – rather than what the content within actually is. Again – this is one of the key reasons I worked so hard to retain the more unique ‘brands’, such as Mardukite or even Systemology, conceptual ideals that are not already hard-fixed in human consciousness. For, even when I am forced into a corner to be genre-specific regarding the work and any words come flowing out – such as ‘ancient aliens’ or ‘anunnaki’ or ‘arcane arts’ – the functions of the mind take over once more and someone previously familiar with Daniken or Sitchen, perhaps a documentary on television, or an occult grimoire from Simon; well, they have ‘heard it all before’ and presume to ‘know’ what my work is ‘all’ about. Seriously?

All along the pathway, details of why and how these materials have come to be culminated by Mardukites under the ‘Necronomicon‘ guise have been given: in the prefatory information to the ‘Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible‘, in the introduction to the ‘Book of Elven-Faerie‘ (first released by the Mardukites as ‘Druids of the Necronomicon‘), in the very text of “Liber R” or Necronomicon Revelations (also known as the revised MardukiteNine Gates of the Kingdom of Shadows‘) and in the companion handbook to the three-year legacy of intensive work, titled: Mardukite Guardians of the Gates. But all of this has been missed by most of the critics and curious outsiders who are restricted to only a handful of public reviews that all follow the basic fallacy I have described in the previous paragraph.

Let us first address the most pertinent of ridiculous notions that the more naïve critics put forth – that the “Necronomicon” is purely the fictional creation of a horror-writer H.P. Lovecraft and that any and all references to this work or comparisons to the Cthulhu Mythos are likewise fictional in any and all respects for the mere mentioning of the word: Necronomicon, regardless of what is being compared: even historical Babylon, Sumer and the Anunnaki.

This statement is barely even worth the time and space of response as anyone who has an I.Q. of greater than 100 can see its flawed thinking. Let us put aside the fact that the Mardukites are examining the historical aspects of the ancients and are not interpreting a worldview through a ‘Lovecraftian‘ paradigm at all. True, there are very real relationships between some of the themes and ideals that connect the Necronomicon of H.P. Lovecraft and the neo-Mardukite revival of learning that is using the same title, but never once attempting to present itself as a book that existed in Lovecraft’s time. These connections are explored most intensely in ‘Necronomicon Revelations‘, and they do nothing more than to serve a lesson in the universality of the fundamental messages. Quite simply, the Mardukite movement is not a ‘Cthulhu Cult’ built in the image of H.P. Lovecraft’s writings, and any mystical, literary and spiritual connections between the two are academically discussed in my prior work and need not be repeated here.

The more ‘serious’ critics were short-changed from the get-go, ‘set-up’ so to speak, and nearly all of their critical responses were predicted by our Home Office with the separation of “Liber N” from the larger corpus of materials. First and foremost, we positioned ourselves into a unique sect of ‘Necronomicon gnosis‘ that is not representative one-to-one with H.P. Lovecraft’s Necronomicon at all, and never was – and that is by clinging instead to the actually more famous use of the Necronomicon archetype of “Simon” in the 1970′s; not Lovecraft. In fact, let’s get real and be honest here: a million more people are now first aware of the Necronomicon under the guise of Simon’s grimoire than some forgotten pulp-fiction from a hundred years ago. Avon (now Harper Collins) boasts a million copies of Simon’s paperback in print through them, not to mention how many have been passed along second-hand or worse, reproduced illegally… Somehow, I doubt the work of Lovecraft has shared the same circulation success.

Mardukite Chamberlains

And what do we find in Simon’s work? A grimoire of horror-ridden necromancy? HA! Far from it. Only a fragmentary system of the very real Babylonian Anunnaki Tradition known as “Mardukite” to the ancients. So, critics really need to get a clue and get a bit wiser in their approach and maybe even get over the fact that they, themselves, are failed authors. There are only so many ways in which this distinction can be made and I find myself still, these years later, making the same points about the work again and again to those outside the strictly “Mardukite” circles. My solution has been to keep taking steps back until those who can follow along far enough unaided are still able to reach me.

The outsiders don’t see much of the work that goes into the reestablishment of the ancient alien ‘Anunnaki‘ tradition from the Mardukite perspective. They see the word – Necronomicon – and the references to the Mesopotamian region and the schema-based mind takes over.

The critics profess – this is clearly “Simon”, this is all “Simon”, this is just another version of “Simon” – end of story.

I am still amazed some of these ‘New Age critics’ claim to seek ‘enlightenment’ in this life.

Here, some explanation should be provided to say that ALL of the public critics that speak of the “Mardukite Necronomicon” or the “Necronomicon of Joshua Free” are referring, of course, to the smaller stand-alone “Liber N” tome that was released in 2009 as the Necronomicon edited by Joshua Free (and in hardcover with foreword by Tracy R. Twyman). This was done with the intention of bridging the gap with what ‘esotericists’ would already be most familiar with in regards to our ‘greater’ work and that is Simon’s Necronomicon! We didn’t take the Simon Necronomicon and build a tradition as some have proposed – we instead selected parts of the very real, very ancient, very living Anunnaki Babylonian Tradition that had already been partially gleaned at in Simon’s work, and separated them as a “Mardukite Necronomicon.”

The circulation of the “Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible” has already doubled the original stand-alone “Liber N,” which comprises only 30% of the complete anthology and would never have been so loosely compared to Simon’s work had it been released in total from the start, but that wasn’t how the plan was set. We were relying on the skeptics and betting on the naïve critics to help bring more public attention to the still up-and-coming Mardukite revival sect of the underground by supplying a more complete vision of Simon’s original venture. The Simon Necronomicon was not a “launch-point” as the critics have surmised, parts of the greater legacy that matched what was originally being relayed were selected to aid in completing the picture. This was a much easier approach than initiating a generic ‘alien cult’ or trying to start by educating a world on the misinformation and/or lack of self-honest information regarding the ‘ancient’ world.

A perfect example is the Enuma Elis, which is actually the heart of the Mardukite system-based divine and worldly politics that ruled ancient Babylon. All of the priestly ‘magick’ and the star-gate division and religious power of that world was rooted in this creation epic. Since its discovery over a century ago, significant work has been done in reconstructing the full message of these tablets, which also includes (on the seventh tablet), the Book of Fifty Names of Marduk, which not only served as the primary ‘grimoire’ portion of the Simon Necronomicon, but also as the main tenet of the Necronomicon Spellbook by the same editor. Naturally, these seven tablets of creation have already been academically compared to the Judeo-Christian biblical ‘seven days of creation’. Actually, six days of creation and a seventh spent in glorification of the “Creator.” In the Enuma Elis, we have six tablets describing the systematic creation and ordering of the universe followed by a seventh glorifying the self-made king of the gods for the Babylonian paradigm, Marduk. Rather than take Simon’s fragments and embelish, or use as a basis (as the critics presume), we simply identify his ‘Magan Text’ as the Enuma Elis and provide our translation of the complete text in its stead. And so on and so on – selecting parts that match the main sections of Simon’s work but replacing them with the more recent and complete research, the Mardukites did essentially reconstruct Simon’s Necronomicon with parts of a larger work we call the Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible. . .

ERICH VON DANIKEN, Honorary Mardukite Award 2011, Ancient Aliens

Monday, May 2nd, 2011

Since the official inception of Mardukite Ministries in 2008 we have annually announced honorary lifetime achievement awards to key figures in our field. Past honorary mardukites have included Zecharia Sitchin, Tracy R. Twyman and Olatunde Osunsanmi. This year, 2011, the Council of Nabu nominated several possible candidates which were voted on both public and privately among the Mardukite Chamberlains (and via correspondence with Home Office). We are pleased to announce the winning recipient of the Honorary Mardukite Life-Time Achievement Award for 2011 is presented to:

Erich von Daniken | Honorary Mardukite 2011

Erich von Daniken | Honorary Mardukite 2011

ERICH VON DANIKEN is best known for his work Chariots of the Gods (1968) which served as the launch point for modern pursuits into ‘ancient aliens’ (called ‘ancient astronaut theory’ until fairly recently). Daniken is also a co-founder of the “Archaeology, Astronautics and SETI Research Association” (AAS RA) which, in part, is responsible for the recent television campaign on the History Channel known as Ancient Aliens, something that has proven to be exceptionally popular among mardukite chamberlains and readers. Coming up on significant criticism, as we have seen among our other honorary mardukite award recipients, Erich von Daniken continues to fight for the cause in public to this day.

In addition to our honorary achievement recognition of individuals, the Mardukite Council of Nabu also offers nominations for an honorary “Book of the Year” that is determined both by vote and the gauged amount of impact a particular work lends to the mardukite movement. The only criteria for this recognition is that the work not be produced by the Mardukite Truth Seeker Press, which allows those outside of our organization to be as eligible for public recognition and recommendation as our own works. In the past, these have included “Gates of the Necronomicon” by Simon, “Merovingian Mythos” by Tracy R. Twyman and “Babylonian Star-Lore” by Gavin White.

The 2011 Honorary Book of the Year is actually of a different caliber since its author is no longer living. Nonetheless, by a landslide, the Council of Nabu is pleased to recommend:

They Wrote On Clay | 2011 Honorary Book of the Year

They Wrote On Clay | 2011 Honorary Book of the Year

THEY WROTE ON CLAY by Edward Chiera (1885-1933). Chiera was a brilliant Assyriologist who worked at both the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Chicago in this field. He personally led archaeological expeditions in Iraq from 1928-1929 resulting in the retrieval of a colossal ‘lamassu’ statue, perhaps the most beautiful specimen of its kind.

Edward Chiera at Oriental Institute, Chicago, in 1931.

Edward Chiera at Oriental Institute, Chicago, in 1931.

Unfortunately, Chiera didn’t live long enough to see his most awesome masterpiece “They Wrote On Clay” published; an undertaking conducted by his students and colleagues in 1938.
