Simonomicon: A Stargate to the Abyss, Mardukites & The Simon Necronomicon

Saturday, February 4th, 2012

“Given the extent of my involvement in matters concerning the Necronomicon for nearly twenty years, it should not be surprising to find that I am now being called out from the dark corners I am usually want to residing in regarding the topic of the “Simonian” recension of the Necronomicon that has earned so much notoriety and publicity since its arrival in the underground during the late 1970′s.” (from the preface to “Stargate to the Abyss” by Joshua Free, also available as The Necronomicon for Beginners.)

“The Simon Necronomicon is a delicate topic for me, and so it has been a long time coming for me to actually give attention to answering others towards its details. In the past, I have directly avoided such a feat, preferring the work to stand on its own to those culled into its mystique, hardly able to be overshadowed by the efforts of other writers and occultists that have made a system to their own preferences, lending a healthy hand to supporting the allusions made in the fiction writing of H.P. Lovecraft and the later inspired Cthulhu Mythos – connected to our own efforts purely for the fact that the title Necronomicon is shared and perhaps even derived from the Lovecraftian sources.” (Liber 555)

“Since 2008 (officially), a team known as the Mardukite Chamberlains in conjunction with the Council of Nabu-Tutu (operated from Mardukite Ministries and responsible for the publications of the Mardukite Truth Seeker Press) have worked diligently in the fashioning of a complete library archives produced internally for our own purposes. This unique ‘genre’ has been entirely catalogued through to now, spanning everything from prehistoric and cosmogenetic origins through the evolution and development of human populations and traditions coupled with their understandings of technologies of the universe during each stage, as well as the practical knowledge employed. Certainly, this has been no small task and regardless of how monumental it actually is, these efforts have remained mostly unnoticed to the surface populations, ever remaining in the underground ‘scene’.” (from Joshua Free’s preface to “Stargate to the Abyss”, also available as “The Necronomicon for Beginners”.)

“What has drawn in the connection between Simon’s Necronomicon and our own work is the underlying resonance of the original ‘Mardukite Anunnaki Tradition’ from Babylon that appears in “his” grimoire far stronger than any Lovecraftian flavors or the Cthulhu Mythos – and it is for this reason that it has been so often paralleled with the modern “Mardukite” efforts.” (Liber 555)

“Someone approaching the Simon Necronomicon without any previous occult knowledge may be confused as to its ‘magickal’ and ‘esoteric’ suggestions for ritual and ceremony, and yet the ‘heart’ of the material will still seep in and formulate some kind of change in the reader – especially if the lack of previous ‘occult’ knowledge is being coupled with no background in ancient ‘Middle Eastern’ or otherwise ‘Mesopotamian’ cultures and mythologies. If such is the case, the book will be naturally regarded as a highly cryptic or otherwise ‘incoherent’ blend of names and correspondences that are without basis.”

“My own personal interests in the Simon Necronomicon have always – for nearly twenty years now personally – remained fixed on its connection to the ancient “Mardukite” Anunnaki-oriented system. Similarly, the book has actually served as a ‘portal’ or ‘gateway’ in and of itself to many of its readers into this ‘lost’ and ‘forbidding’ pursuit of intellectual academia and occult esoterica; people who would otherwise have had no real familiarity with ‘Babylonian Gates’ and the ‘Anunnaki Gods’ later reminisce that the Simon Necronomicon was their own introduction to topics…” (from the preface to Liber 555, “Stargate to the Abyss”, also available as “The Necronomicon for Beginners”.)

Since being released in 1977 — the same year that the world saw the arrival of “Star Wars”, the “Shannara” series of Terry Brooks, “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”, the debut by Zecharia Sitchin and many other consciousness paradigm-shifts — the Necronomicon by Simon has changed the shape of the modern “New Age” movement and human understanding, introducing over a million people of the new generations to the reality of the Anunnaki traditions born from ancient Sumerians, Babylonians, Akkadians, Assyrians and Chaldeans.

Shrouded in doom and gloom, contrasted against the “Cthulhu Mythos” envisioned by H.P. Lovecraft, who very well may have developed the title — Necronomicon — for his own saga and literary cycle, the book presented by editor Simon is anything but a fabrication of fantasy, but is instead an allusion to a very real, though fragmented, “Mardukite” Babylonian Anunnaki Tradition, a system that once dominated the prehistoric and ancient world before the rise of the Greeks, Romans and even Egyptians!

The modern “Mardukite” research organization has spent nearly half a decade exploring the mysteries of Mesopotamia, the Anunnaki and related subjects. After having completed the entire ‘Necronomicon Anunnaki’ literary legacy with the Mardukite Chamberlains, prolific writer, editor and founder of the “Mardukites”, Joshua Free, ends his years of silence concerning the Simon Necronomicon by finally providing his expert commentary on the classic text in Liber 555, “Stargate to the Abyss: The Mardukite Guide to the Simon Necronomicon”.

Edition note: This “Liber 555″ material is simultaneously being released as “The Necronomicon for Beginners” by Joshua Free.

CTHULHU MYTHOS, CTHULHU CULT | H.P. Lovecraft in Metaphysics & The Occult

Sunday, November 20th, 2011

The most merciful thing in the world, I think,
is the inability of the human mind
to correlate all it contains.
We live on a placid island of ignorance
in the midst of black seas of infinity,
and it was not meant that we should voyage far.
The sciences, each straining in its own direction,
have hitherto harmed us little;
but someday the piercing together
of dissociated knowledge
will open up such terrifying vistas of reality,
and our frightful position therein,
that we shall either go mad from the revelation
or flee from the deadly light
into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

~ H.P. Lovecraft (The Call of Cthulhu)

CTHULHU MYTHOS: The Influence of Lovecraft
by Joshua Free
(Excerpted from Arcanum Epica (Vol. I) also available as A Complete Course Curriculum in Magick)

“Though not necessarily a true cultural or religious pantheon by its own semantics, the writings of H.P. Lovecraft reflect the Cthonic Underworld energy currents of primordial mythoi like those of the Sumerians, Babylonians and Egyptians. Lovecraft also demonstrated a certain aptitude in Hermetic philosophy, in spite of the ridiculous debate concerning his possible exposure to such subjects.” (Arcanum I)

“The stories in his archive are usually short and most read like letters of personal correspondence or newspaper articles concerning cult activities or naïve persons dabbling with the incantations of the Necronomicon. Few of the stories relate to each other, except briefly shared names and references (e.g. “Cthulhu” or “Necronomicon”). These references are so scattered that reconstructing a workable pseudo-religious hierarchical pantheon of Lovecraftian deities is practically pointless, though many creative minds have already attempted this (usually for fantasy role-playing purposes) including those recent efforts by Donald Tyson.”

“It might be more appropriate to instead delve into the natures of the source-traditions that we now can explore more avidly then during Lovecraft’s life, nearly one-hundred years ago. The terminology he provided was important for his time and remains so for posterity today, though there are more practical and historical avenues to pursue for seekers. Other writers who were influenced by Lovecraft use this shared paradigm, which was not actually called the “Cthulhu mythos” during his lifetime. This idea came later and included contributions from August Derleth, Robert E. Howard (creator of “Conan: The Barbarian”), Robert Block and T.E.D. Klein (better known for “The Ceremonies”).”

“Very little of the literal semantics used by Lovecraft match Simon’s Necronomicon (or Sumerian-Babylonian traditions in general), but the overall theme remains true. This archetypal system concerns the origins of the human species as affected by the “Old Gods.Lovecraft speaks of an “unholy trinity” of Ancient Ones and their evil followers who seek to bring these entities back into manifestation in our time-space. These energies were present on the Earth Planet in prehistory and the reintroduction of their existence would effective end the living circumstances we know today. This directly relates to the lore of the Gate to the Outside, sealed by the Elder Sign.” (Arcanum I or Complete Curriculum)

“The current editor (Joshua Free), in spite of being known for writing excessively concerning “Necronomicon” topics, will ironically not spend much time covering this specific mythos. The fact remains: the Cthulhu mythos was not based on Mesopotamian lore, nor are the Mardukite interpretations of said lore in any way affected by Lovecraft’s vision – they are one and the same, simply realized differently for literary purposes.”

“In Lovecraft’s writing, Azathoth appears as the chaotic element in creation as well as the inherit tendency of all particle existence to “degrade” and perish. He sometimes appears in visions as a serpent, specifically the Great Serpent of the Cosmos (a “green dragon” so large it could swallow the “universe”) interpreted by some to mean the Milky Way and to others as the DNA genetic code underlying creation.” (Arcanum I)

“According to archaic lore, “Azathoth” is eternally playing a flute that emits a “chaotic vibration” which exists at the heart of all things in the Universe making their manifestation possible (consider String Theory). As with many spirits in the Cthulhu mythos it is believed that the name itself is so powerful that it should not be uttered out loud (unless you are intentionally calling forth this energetic current). According to “Liber 9,” found within the Mardukite “Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible”Azathoth might be able to be equated to the Babylonian diety Samas or Shammash the Sun-God, also known as Utu to the Sumerians.”

Shub-Niggurath is typically the feminine aspect in creation, representing the mother-head of life, fertility and growth. In some stories, she is an abomination known as the “Black Goat of the Woods with One-Thousand Young.” In one disturbing vision of H.P. Lovecraft, Shub-Niggurath is a gigantic ever-changing organic mass secreting anomalisms of life as a waste product. An optimist might equate this with a living biosphere like the Earth Planet, yet Shub-Niggurath resides in the “Dark Woods” of an interdimensional cavern or Underworld. There is an Ish-Niggarah listed among the ranks of Ancient Ones in the Necronomicon, who may also manifest as a goat. This is simply one possible correlation between Lovecraft’s vision and the historical lore of the Mesopotamian Necronomicon. With Azathoth as the chaotic vibration of existence and Shub-Niggurath as the manifester of organic forms of life, the dualistic nature of creative “god/goddess” could be complete, but it is not. “Liber 9” suggests that Shub-Niggurath may be easily equated to Enki, though some other sources have connected to Ishtar (so, essentially “Earth” or “Venus”).” (Arcanum I)

“These two forms combine to create “potentiality” which requires a palette or screen to actually play out, the third element of the triad. Yog-Sothoth represents the existence of time or time-space and the necessary perceived cycles for existence and life to unfold, develop or evolve. In the quantum paradigm, Yog-Sothoth is the space between and the “gluons” bonding atoms together. In other lore, this force manifests as a massive conglomerate of shifting spheres or orbs of “dark light.” Given what we know of Anunnaki-systems and the correlation in “Liber 9,Yog-Sothoth can be connected to Marduk and thus the Lovecraftian Creative Trinity is complete.”

“While central to the stories in the cycle (and of course the name derived from it), Cthulhu is not a part of the trinity. This gargoyle-like figure stands over 100 feet tall, has bat wings, tentacles and the head of a squid. According to legend, Cthulhu resides in the Underworld city of R’lyeh, with possible energetic connections to the Pacific Ocean. Like the legends of Baphomet and Merlyn, Cthulhu remains there perpetually, “not dead but dreaming.Cthulhu is said to influence the dreams of humans and has the ability to cause “men to go insane.” In the Sumerian mythos, Cthulhu translates to Kutulu. These beings hate humanity (which was actually bred and protected by Enki) and the Necronomicon of Simon is actually not a manual to summon these entities, but a grimoire left by the lineage of Enki to ensure the protection of humans against the Ancient Ones.”

Magan & Maqlu Magic | Babylonian Sumerian Anunnaki Necronomicon Spellbook Series

Saturday, November 12th, 2011

The Mardukite Research Organization (Mardukite Chamberlains) began collecting, transliterating and transcribing Mesopotamian tablet teachings in 2008 — working from the most ancient cuneiform writings on the planet and those famously from Babylonia, an amazing cycle of materials was produced for the underground in 2009, which later went on to be compiled into a single “Year 1″ anthology best known as the Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible edited by Joshua Free.

Not simply conforming to the fantastic imagery and semantic titles made popular in the work of H.P. Lovecraft, the Mardukites, sought to bring a more complete reconstruction to life that more closely followed what had been alluded to in the infamous and most popular “Simon” interpretation of the Necronomicon mysteries – which, rather than being based on a ‘fictional mythology’ (Lovecraft), it was instead a glimpse of what is now known as the “Mardukite” Anunnaki Tradition of Babylonia! Were it not for the recent influx of interest in ‘ancient aliens’ and ‘ancient astronaut’ theories, the greater public might have overlooked this archetypal antiquated tradition altogether!

Now completing the third active public year, the Mardukite Home Office (Truth Seeker Press) has commissioned a special companion serial to the “Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible” known as the “Spellbook series” and inspired by the complimentary style of the controversial “Simon” Necronomicon and Necronomicon Spellbook that millions have come to love. This final contribution by critically acclaimed writer, Joshua Free, to the Year-3 work of the Mardukite Necronomicon Legacy brings this vision new accessibility to newcomers and adepts alike. Year-3 closes with a series of releases, two of which are already available!

As has been done in the past by our team, the newly designed work is being released simultaneously in two formats, called the ‘academic editions’ and the ‘esoteric editions’ – both containing the same literary content internally but each having its own appeal (or not) to a certain type of seeker.

The first two installments of the “Necronomicon Anunnaki Spellbook” series-cycle are best known as Magan Magic (Liber E)and Maqlu Magic(Liber M). These two volumes, much like the forthcoming conclusion to the trilogy, reexamine and elaborate on the materials of the “Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible” anthology with an emphasis on ‘deep interpretation’ and ‘functional practice’ (or reconstruction). These volumes (libros) are simultaneously available as Necronomicon Spellbook I (Liber E) and Necronomicon Spellbook II (Liber M).

So, what do these tomes contain?

1. THE MAGAN TEXT…
…long thought to be the fantastic concoction of wishful-thinkers, the fundamental basis for the mystical, magical and spiritual tradition born of Ancient Mesopotamia has come to life! Cuneiform tablet records of magick and creation are drawn together to reconstruct the most antiquated, powerful and legendary “magician’s primer” ever known to the minds of men –formulated by the ancient Sumerians and Babylonians! Herein lies the origins of ‘religious’ sects of the ancient world; of the ‘mystical’ and priestly magick known as “Kabbalah”; of the ‘political’ methods used by priests an wizards to affect societies; of the ‘occult’ and ‘esoteric’ hierarchical-pantheon based grimoires of spirits used famously throughout history! hidden within are the secrets of the archetypal ‘religious magical’ system, the most ancient methodology for personal development and material gain — the basis of an Anunnaki-based spiritual system being revived today by the modern ‘Mardukite’ movement!

2. THE MAQLU…
…finally translated for accessible modern practice by the Mardukite Chamberlains for the first time ever in print to the public — the product of three years of intensive research and experimentation! A complete spellbook dedicated to ENKI, MARDUK and SAMAS and used by magicians and priests for thousands of years to combat in wizards’ duels, reverse the effects of evil spells and curses, banish disease and nightmares, and conjure the protection and blessings of the gods! No mere ‘folk magic’ or rural witches’ “Book of Shadows”, the MAQLU (M-Series) of cuneiform tablets was first in possession of the ‘highest order’ of priest-scribes and temple-magicians in ancient Mesopotamia — the cradle-origins of human civilization. So powerful was the MAQLU that the government of the greatest empires in history employed its use to ensure prosperous lands, happiness among the people and to dispel the chaotic, negative and malignant forces in the community — things we long for even now… and perhaps as in the long forgotten millennium past, the MAQLU provides an answer just as relevant today!

Celebrate Samhain 2011 with a Mardukite Sumerian-Babylonian Anunnaki Necronomicon Tradition

Tuesday, October 25th, 2011

In 2008, we launched the Mardukite tradition publicly on the Summer Solstice. Prior to this, the mainstream approach to Sumerian and Babylonian topics concerning the Anunnaki were restricted to the most famous of all efforts — those by Zecharia Sitchin and Erich von Daniken — but this is not all there is! A NEW generation of truth seekers has since spent the last (nearly) four years dedicated to the pursuit of uncovering the truth of our past to gain a self-honest experience of the present (kNow) and guidance for the future.

By the Spring Equinox (Babylonian Akiti) 2009, the Mardukite Chamberlains were in full action, the Council of Nabu (Tutu) was founded to govern the “Mardukite Truth Seeker Press” endeavors and to oversee the research and experimentation that was publicly (and privately) offered at the Mardukite Home Offices (at the time located in Englewood, Colorado) from early 2009 through Samhain 2009, when our first ‘office’ was closed. During this time, the Mardukite Chamberlains conducted the entirety of the “Year 1″ work — originally separated into four ‘limited handmade’ volumes that now appear in the NECRONOMICON ANUNNAKI BIBLE anthology!

The 2009-2010 winter proved challenging for the movement and its founder, but resulted in the first ‘boost’ in distributive exposure since the inception when the materials were no longer restricted to ‘in-house’ limited hand-made productions and third-party printers were contracted. However, all of of the materials through 2010 (and into the spring season of 2011) were still only available directly from the Mardukite Home Office which were reconstructed in spring 2010 in the rural Colorado Rocky Mountains. The execution of the “Year 2″ work was conducted from the new location and with 80% new member participation (then those who were involved with the original academic ‘translations’ and ‘transliterations’ of 2009). The focus shifted away from ‘forming the foundation base’ into the ‘reconstruction of the temple’ (system) and ‘active’ use of the ancient methodologies that were drawn out of the “Year 1″ work. This collection (or cycle) of materials was released in volumes — Sumerian Religion (Liber 50), Babylonian Myth & Magic (Liber 51) and Necronomicon Revelations (Liber R) — also available in a single volume: THE GATES OF THE NECRONOMICON anthology.

SAMHAIN 2009 NECRONOMICON LIBER N SPECIAL (part 1 of 4)

After the completion of the primary Mardukite Necronomicon Cycle of materials (usually considered sevenfold or ninefold if including Liber D (Druids) and the Book of Marduk by Nabu (Liber W or Tablet-W Series), founder and editor for the Mardukites, Joshua Free, accelerated the work dedicated to the advancement or ‘evolution’ of the next generation human species with the formation of the Mardukite-branch known as SYSTEMOLOGY. Although completely compatible, the S-Series of materials represents a new cycle for the movement, one which is still being developed currently!

In correlation to the work of Systemology, Joshua Free spent the bulk of early-mid 2011 in the construction of the “Disclosure 2011″ project, revealing the affective ‘basis’ for how and why this movement has been conducted as it has (and so forth) with the release of his rather obscure ‘autobiographical treatise’, NABU SPEAKS! The prolific writer and founder of the modern Mardukite Anunnaki revival movement finally revealed his true nature and identity – as the hybrid alien messenger, NABU – in the much-anticipated public disclosure, “Nabu Speaks! – The Autobiography of an Alien Messenger.

NEWS! Nine Gates of the Kingdom of Shadows (Delomelanicon Edition)

Saturday, October 22nd, 2011

The Mardukite adoption of the DELOMELANICON, Nine Gates of the Kingdom of Shadows, de Umbrarum Regni Novem Portis ‘mythos’ first envisioned by the Chamberlains in 2009 has since grown to such epic proportions that it has been the Nine Gates, Novem Portis or Delomelanicon (a ‘code-name’ first given to our Liber 9 in 2009, then incorporated with Necronomicon Revelations – Liber R in 2010, that people are actually most interested in when they send correspondence and email to the Home Office or “Contact Us”. For nearly a year there has been no in-print Mardukite-originating work carrying this ‘theme’ and ‘title’ — but now, that is about to change once again!

“One is always left to wonder where the resources for a vision might come from – and fortunately it would seem that the modern Mardukite Movement has been blessed during its years of infancy by the participation of some key individuals in bringing the “Necronomicon”, or in this case Delomelanicon, to the ‘light’ of the surface world – to public awareness, culminating a true paradigm shift in human consciousness, making way for the authentic New Age.” (Excerpted from the Foreword to Delomelanicon.)

“The Mardukites themselves have spent the last (nearly) four years in returning to the Source of the “Great Mysteries”, those esoteric teachings that have penetrated the minds of all humans on the planet and given way to a multiplicity of factions, sects, orders and paradigms; all of which have branched out from a singular ‘tree’. It is this originating Tree of Knowledge with roots deep that the seeker really seeks.”

“What has only been alluded to or suggested by past efforts in the New Age can now be thrust wide open in a comprehensive serial or ‘cycle’ of literary materials – from which the Delomelanicon samples from… deeply. The cycle of Mardukite Materials first began its development in 2008 as the form it may now be found in – though the effort and vision can be said to have started in the mid-1990′s, as recently revealed in a relevant companion-piece to the current work – Draconomicon. When the materials first released as “Novem Portis” or better known as “Necronomicon Revelations” appeared in late 2010, it could be said that the ‘core’ of the tradition (spiritual or philosophical pursuit, etc.) had been firmly established.”

“This book was prepared with so many key purposes in mind that it would probably take the same amount of space to explain them all. And this is something that should become readily apparent within the body of the text itself. For one: the selections from this anthology reflect the most critical elements of the Necronomicon and Delomelanicon paradigm as they apply to actual and historical tradition.”
