There are many Canadians involved with the Mardukite work, though they may or may not present themselves as such to the public. That’s how ‘Mystery Schools’, etc., generally go…
NB: Heh heh. Kinda hitting my forehead for asking the question. The answer is pretty obvious. It’s the same for anything relating to the occult, really, not just ‘Mystery Schools’. The only people I’ve known to publicly claim to practice magick were posers fishing for a reaction from those around them. This is a lonely path, isn’t it? The internet allows for a certain level of anonymity, but still, most people seem to fear opening up and being themselves.
Joshua Free: There’s no fear. The adepts, if you like, or alumni, or what-have-you, essentially those who have looked deeply into this, well, they tend to lead by example and simple operate at increasingly higher awareness and this attracts or detracts them from being ‘understood’ by those who happen upon them. We aren’t erecting one paradigm to replace another — for multiple reasons the term “Mardukite” was chosen to brand this systemology, but first and foremost is that it is not a reformation or ratification of some preexisting semantic. We chose its meaning as with the refinement of some of the terminology that has been used for ourselves rather than spend excessive energy and effort refining all the branches of ‘comprehension’, ‘fragmented perceptions’, and ‘language evolution’ that has taken place thousands of years since the source of things.

As such… not many refer to themselves as a “Mardukite” proper, and this is totally acceptable as well. It is just a word, like any other, and what it represents is not limited to what some would consider a “religious affiliation” or subscription to a ‘political party’. The word is meant to supersede all those kinds of “-isms” that the human mind certainly has no shortage of ability in constructing.
There is no fear of judgment or reproach, it is simply that there is no reason to boast or brag some egocentric tiding for those who are on a slightly (or greatly) ‘higher’ path to walk then some of the more hedonistic natures found in this realm of perceptual awareness one might call ‘physical reality’. Those who learn and see and use simply DO. They also understand the wisdom and discernment necessary for ‘talking’ and ‘communicating’ about such topics. Being cohesive interrelated to the whole, an ‘adept’ can determine just how the message should be relayed to a given audience by breaking down the known paradigms or systems that audience is upholding. Any one can come to understand these mysteries as they apply to the fragment they have already existed by (and conformed reality to), but really it should lead toward wholeness and not a hundred factions and sects each clutching their own little shard for dear life.
NB: I’m thinking about Dan Millman’s book Way of the Peaceful Warrior. There’s a line where the mentor says “Being a warrior is about absolute vulnerability”. Being yourself openly, not putting on a mask or denying anything to yourself or others. Knowing that the judgement of other people has no relevance to how one should live their lives. Finding your own personnal truths despite the opinions others push. To just be who you are, freely, without fear, knowing you can take anything anyone dishes out. I wish more people were like this. It takes alot of courage. But we do live in a cruel world, and it takes alot of energy to fight off everyone who tries to put you down simply because you think differently. In the end, it’s just easier to keep secrets. “To be in the world, but not of it”
Joshua Free: For the established peaceful warrior or self-actualized individual, certainly there are lessons to be gained from the ‘perceptions’ of other brought to clash against one’s own. It shows where the instability in consciousness still exists in evolving a species into a New Age. It can also be detrimental to one’s success or a distraction if ‘worn on their sleeves’ for the wrong reasons or one who is just learning (or beginning) and wishes to share their new found ‘toy’ with their friends indiscriminately. The idea is to reach a point of self-honest clarity with an unconditioned lens and while working to gain this initially, bouncing this ‘lens’ or unnecessarily interfacing with those who are not yet in a position or with a faculty to assist in this, well, its better to follow the old Druidic code of: to know, dare and be silent.
Its not really that ‘secret’ — it is right in front of everyone — but the mind has become too ‘fragmented’ or ‘distracted’ by the lights on the screen, the dancing monkey and the jingling keys to even see what is right before them.
