Joshua Free (continued): We started publishing our materials not because we wanted to make a whole bunch of books but because we felt it necessary to begin cataloging as time went on. Originally they weren’t available to the public at all. For the first couple of years, if you weren’t pretty intimately involved, the you didn’t know that we were doing it. It has since expanded considerably, but even that, you mentioned that there were twenty or thirty books.
It is important when people go to look at those that they pay carefully attention to the descriptions for the works, because a lot time what we would do is, during the course of the year there might be several manifestos that came out as they were developed that could be used to work through the year more easily. So, we would put them out there, people could use them in the course of that year’s study and research. When enough of that had been culminated we would put out anthologies so that it would be not only more economical in a single volume, but it was prestigious for the people that were working on it to see this kind of stuff come into manifestation.

Of the thirty titles, there are probably maybe fifteen or so actual individual books that I have written over the course of the years. A lot of them have been put together to make anthologies which compose a lot of the other titles. I want to make sure to say this so when people see this they are not overwhelmed by the work we have done.

In answering that too, though, I’m just now – it should be available within the week or so – we’re actually answering a ‘call’ that many people have put out to produce a monthly periodical; a magazine; that is dedicated to the work. This not only helps bring out the new information and findings easier, but also to break down what has become volumes and volumes of information into a synthesis that people can absorb a little easier. Also, with our economic age, it can be difficult to sometimes always go out and get all of these books, whereas incrementing it in a monthly form, it will really help bring it to people more accessibly then we have even before.

And that is what a division of our group, which from the publishing company perspective, we were focusing on the birth of cuneiform tablets and the language; our focus has just kind of remained with that: – interpreting and translating written work and transferring it in the literary form. I’ve done YouTube and lectures and workshops and all of that, but it really comes back to the writings and the books, whether our own or clay tablets.

The Judeo-Christian tradition isn’t so much like that, because you have a few people that are actually ‘with’ the writings and then you have enough other people; parents give it to us, or we go to Sunday School and so forth. In this day in age, if you want to get to next step as it stands right now, it requires a little bit of an initiative, just because it is not so commonplace and it is not so present yet in our world.

This is changing. I mean, more people are becoming ‘apt’ to this every day, but still it will require more of this. In addition to the other books, I believe amazon has agreed to carry the magazine as well. So, I believe it will break it down in an economical and concise way without always having to dig into the archives of books. We’re trying to think of everything and every way that we can relay it that makes sense.

Royce Holleman: Does your website have membership attached to it so that it could have forums people can join and discuss?

Joshua Free: There is a forum. There is a link. In addition to the website you mentioned, we also have our library at mardukite.com, so it’s easy to type in and get there. But, yes, there is a forum. It does require to contact us, for some of the obvious reasons. The work we do, is not of course, necessarily popular among everybody and to avoid a lot of stuff, it requires someone to contact us from that page to join, but there is a link to it from there.

As far as membership. We are not really about titles and fees and keeping track of where people live, and all of that kind of stuff. We do have people that participate with us and we call them members, but there aren’t any fees or titles really connected too much with that…

Joshua Free (continued): It [the Enuma Elis] describes an ancient primordial dragon that rises from the ‘abyss’ that eventually gives birth to a race of gods. The gods further reproduce; several generations are described; and then it says that they ‘grew too noisy’. As a result there is a plot this dragon Tiamat has to destroy her children, the Anunnaki. Well, actually Anunnaki means ‘those who came down from heaven to earth’ and this is prior to them coming to earth, so it is the figures later referred to as Anunnaki. So the Anunnaki petition Marduk to fight on their behalf against the ‘ancient dragon’. And he says, ‘well, if I do all of this, you will have to make me king among you since none of you are going to do this.’ And according to the tablets they agree to this. He goes and slays the beast. This is where we get the version of ‘he slays it in half and uses the head to form the heavens and the body to form the earth’ of this therefore fragments existence to make possible a physical reality, rather than a purely ‘ethereal’ or ‘spiritual’ one.

This story is the basis of so many other ‘myths’ or ways of interpreting our creation ever since. From the universe is a dragon or slaying the dragon to show supremacy. These things all are very metaphorical. There are a lot of chronological – looking at the actual tablets academically – there are a lot of reasons why, even if we assume the history of the Anunnaki to be correct, there are a lot of reasons why this event, this dragon-slaying or war-in-heaven as it is relayed to us this way, did not take place. It’s more concerned with the politics of the Anunnaki and their life.

More importantly, it created a religious fragmentation that had never existed before. Prior to this in pre-Babylonian times you have a very simplistic Enlilite – just, things are the way they are, created to serve the gods and whatever they needed and we are kind of left to ourselves later with the kings put in place.

In Babylon you have the first alteration of that and separation where rather than a pantheon being observed the way it had been peacefully for so long – now you have Marduk appearing as the ‘King of the Gods’. It’s easy to sit back and think that these people are being dishonest, but all of the things that came from this; it is why all of the things in our world are the way they are today, for better or worse.

It’s bringing the knowledge and power and mysticism and access to spirituality down to the people. This is something unheard of before. Prior, people would go to the temples and the priests were the only ones who could petition to the Anunnaki on their behalf and bring the offerings to the temple where that deity was assumed to reside or frequently visit and a statue or representation was left in its stead.

By the time of the Babylonians you have for the first time a magical tradition among the people; you have people being able to conduct rituals on their own to petition the gods using, basically, Marduk’s usurpation of power. And so you have a new ‘vision’ of the pantheon. They are known sometimes as the Seven; it’s related to the Seven main ‘stages’ or ‘gates’ of the ziggurat in Babylon. There is a different way of perceiving the world then there was before. Of course, what that opens up the door for is further ‘fragmentations’ from that. And so, if it ‘can be done once’, then it ‘can be done again’, and so for thousands of years since we’ve seen evolving traditions and spirituality and ways of viewing things…

Joshua: As the understanding increases, the possibilities for how we can understand these things is going to increase. And that’s about the only way we are going to develop a better understanding of where we came from, why things are the way they are now, what we can do with this or where we can evolve to as a species…

Royce: Yes, I’ve often said that the ‘ancient astronaut’ theory was an important tool for better understanding where we are at today and how we got here. Joshua: It brings a new perspective, sure.

Royce: Well, yeah, the theory or understanding has been transpiring and developing for millennium. This isn’t some overnight deal.

Joshua: Right. Even the oldest interpretations of the Judeo-Christian really do advocate for that type of understanding.

These early forms of Gnostic or the Essene and so forth, they were pushed out very early in their existence, because of the message they were relaying. It really helps to take these things into account when seeking the validity behind this. Yes, it’s been kept from the traditional version that we have been given of things but it’s still there if people actually go to look for it.

A lot of the issues have to do with ‘translations’; a lot of the issues have to do with certain word usage. It’s become kind of a cliché example of the biblical Hebrew “Elohim” and their regards to the creation of humanity, where it’s actually translated in a ‘plural’ or even ‘plural-feminine’ form.

People have the impression of the interpretation where you have “God created man in his image”, in the Hebrew translations that predate modern interpretation, the meaning and context is completely different. It refers to a ‘group’ of beings and these are of course, in the Sumerian and Babylonian tablets that predate the Judeo system by thousands of years, are the Anunnaki and their upgrade of apes into modern man.

Many of the scriptures really do almost come word-for-word from the ancient (Mesopotamian) tablets and one of the reasons being that for a time the Hebrew people were actually under the governance of Babylon.

There’s a lot of dark crevices of ancient history and for that reason for thousands of years that place (Middle East) has been in more discord and unrest than probably any other place on the globe. It seems to stay this way having been lost or ‘fragmented’ from what it was and that seems to almost have originated during Babylonian periods and during the time of Abraham and so forth.

The fragmentation that takes place, it renders so many people unable to see the complete picture because there does not seem to be enough time, in a life-time, most of the time – to get to that point…

“An examination of the Sumerian and Babylonian King-Lists will reveal the belief that “kingship” was “sent down” from “heaven” as decreed by the gods. To this we might add that a similar tradition has been followed by many indigenous ancient cultures. These dynastic lists originate by Sumerian hands, but they were later re-catalogued in Babylon by Nabu Priest-Scribes starting in the third millennium B.C. Similar King-Lists have also been found in Egypt and they all suggest some very amazing notions for the contemporary mind to grasp.” (from Babylonian Myth & Magic)

NOTES:
* L.A. Waddell (in Egyptian Civilization: Its Sumerian Origins) suggests the same King-Lists appear in India.
* The oldest Sumerian King-List example found is the Weld-Blundell Prism tablet.
* The final Babylonian reconstruction and addendum was provided by Berossus (c. 3rd century B.C.)
* The King-Lists are known in Egypt as the Dynastic Chronicles as catalogued by Manetho (c. 3rd century B.C.)

“The chronology of the King-Lists are separated by a critical event, one which is found within the cosmological records of all ancient cultures – the Deluge or Great Flood. This means that Sumerian civilization began in antediluvian times, prior to the Deluge. This controversial event consisted of both torrential storms and the rise of ground floor water in connection to the melting glaciers and ice at the end of the Pleistocene period. The King-Lists appear congruent with this time scale also, but the shifting sands of Mesopotamia provide few clues for us since the ancient sites were often dismantled or found in ruins and later built over by cultural successors. What this signifies is that the pre-Babylonian, pre-Sumerian Ubaid periods are not the true absolute origins for “prehistoric” civilization, but instead the origins for the efforts that were resumed after the earth was stable for societal habitation again, following the last Ice Age.” (Liber 51)

NOTES:
* Archeologists measure the Ubaid period based on the artistic styling used in pottery beginning 6,500 – 5,500 B.C.
* Archeologists can successfully confirm the identities of the King-Lists dating back until c. 3200 B.C., but the records themselves continue into the past for another 420,000+ years. By comparison, the Semitic belief is that the world as a whole was created in c. 4004 B.C., which would necessarily and incorrectly place the Deluge and all other mythic events much more recent.

“The origins of the word “ruler,” “regent” and “realm” all reflect the absolute “god-like” nature of the original king, especially after the unification of the two lands of Babylonia, where one man – one lugal – was elevated to the position of a blessed and lofty demigod. More than simply a title of power, this role required the person to be an active intermediary between the people and the gods and thus acted as a kind of priest-king. What’s more, the interconnectedness of the “realm” was inseparable from this king. The king and his land are one. The king and his people are one. The fate of one proved to reflect the other throughout history many times over and the people couldn’t deny it – a good and just king resulted in expansion and fruitful land, whereas the rule of unjust ungodly tyrants weakened the integrity of the Babylonian Empire every time.” (Liber 51)

“Properly guided kings realized they were essentially Divine Representation on earth and with this came great responsibility. In fact, the freedoms, responsibilities and penalties of the population all rose relative with class – quite different even, than what we see often today. The ‘true’ kings understood that they existed for the people, representatives of the gods on earth, exercising the same divine power that had been executed by the gods themselves in the cultivation of humanity. The descent of kingship come from the gods of heaven themselves, but is carried in the hearts of men – passing on genetic memory in the form of ‘divine blood’ installing the system known as jure divino – the episcopal law upheld by one ‘anointed’ by God.” (Liber 51)

Mardukite Anunnaki Necronomicon Cycle & Merlyn’s School of Magick | Edition’s Guide

In a short period of time, Joshua Free has worked at the ‘pace-of-the-gods’ to resurrect a true self-honest methodology to exploring to universal mysteries. This venture began in the mid-1990′s under various pseudonyms and has resulted in amazing new heights the past several years with the public operation of the Mardukite organization (founded Summer Solstice, 2008). THE SORCERER’S HANDBOOK OF MERLYN STONE was first released to the underground in 1998 and it is considered Joshua Free’s debut title, a complete introductory primer on the methodology and practice of occult magick.

THE LOST BOOKS OF MERLYN STONE contain the ‘lesser known’ materials also developed in 1998 (and 1999) for inclusion in the “Book of Shadows” of various ‘New Age’ organizations and circles that Joshua Free was involved with in the 20th century.

THE BOOK OF MARDUK BY NABU originally was only available privately to the Mardukite Chamberlains (as Tablet-W or Liber-W) and accounts for some of the regular practices and workings of the inner-circle of the Mardukites while it was preparing the previously described cycle of materials.

NABU SPEAKS! was released in autumn 2011, the much anticipated first-hand account and narrative of the struggles and success of the Mardukites in the ancient world as well as the complete history of the modern movement and its founder. Considered the “Autobiography of an Alien Messenger” and released as a public disclosure project.

THE HYRBIDS is the the first fiction-novel published by Joshua Free. This futuristic science fiction fantasy tale incorporates some of the elements known from the actual Mardukite cycle, but most importantly, it introduced a forthcoming development in how the actual ‘work’ of the Mardukites was conducted, now known as “Systemology”.

HUMAN, MORE THAN HUMAN (S1) was the first of a planned series of small ‘self-help’ booklets that introduces modern humans to their possible future evolution to become ‘more than human’ and what consciousness (paradigm) shifts need to be observed for this to take place.

SYSTEMOLOGY: DEFRAGMENTATION (S2) takes the next step still in explaining the method of ‘self-honesty’, a way of seeing the world without the fragmentation of illusionary ‘levels’ and ‘beliefs’ that separate consciousness from ‘wholeness’.
