School of Magick & Witchcraft, Draconomicon, Channeling the Dragon Magick Energy

Thursday, January 26th, 2012

“After the obscurity of the Middle Ages seemed to take hold on the power of the occult, the dragon came to directly represent the actual ‘power’ that fed anything that truly remained from the ancient mysteries. The electromagnetic currents on the planet as well as the systems of energy that moved throughout the human organism all came to viewed as the “power” of the dragon or dragon lines of power. Contemporary scientists are actually interested in the exact same phenomenon, though they reserve for themselves non-esoteric semantic vocabulary into which to relay their knowledge. Ley Lines and “natural” magnetic fields are, of course, what we are speaking of here.” (From the Draconomicon by Joshua Free)

“Given the thousands of years that wizards and magicians had already spent in appropriating the ‘nature’ or ‘qualities’ of the natural elements or even the earth planet as the “Body of the Dragon,” it seems no ‘stretch’ to adopt the idea that the emanations of the planet are also going to be viewed as draconic. Therefore, adopting the semantics of the dragonmaster, we can consider the ‘outer’ magnetic and ley lines as “dragon lines” and the ‘internal’ currents of kundalini and chakras as “dragon currents.” Dragon energy truly has many forms – as we have seen.” (Draconomicon)

“When we introduce the ‘draconian’ vision for electromagnetic fields and lines, the serpentcoil system of the kundalini or even the chakra energy centers, someone is likely to say or ask: why are these considered of the dragon – and that again returns us to the basis of this all, and how the universal truths were originally All-as-One and only later fractured (fragmented) into the many parts that they are encountered by today. The deep, ancient and esoteric ‘star-lore’ that came to be known later as occultism, really encompassed all of the knowledge of the universe as a whole – and perfectly. It did this very discretely however, and in such a way where the ‘common man’ was not really programmed to accept and understand. Thus, this realm of ‘occult philosophy’ served as a protective ‘womb’ of sacred knowledge that would only later be given birth to as the ‘sciences’ and ‘intellectual fields’ proper, once each had sufficient semantics and vocabulary to isolate into paradigms.” (Draconomicon)

““Dowsing” is perhaps one of the oldest practical forms known for ‘channeling’ the dragon lines of the earth planet. The method has been used for multiple purposes: locating underground water, locating missing objects, and of course, ‘dowsing’ or ‘diving’ the locations of Ley Lines. According to contemporary metaphysics, dowsing is a form of “radiethesia,” which operates according to the same principles as pendulum divination. Practicing this form of ‘magic’ requires the use of special rods or ‘wands’, called ‘dowsing rods’ or – you guessed it – dragon rods. Traditionally, they are made from either a hazel or willow branch and appears reminiscent of a “Y.” (Draconomicon)

WIZARDRY | Magician’s Primer, Merlyn’s School of Magick & Witchcraft explored!

Sunday, November 6th, 2011

Best known for the publication of the “Sorcerer’s Handbook of Merlyn Stone” in 1998 (also available separately in its 13th Anniversary edition), several other less circulated underground publications were also released by the teenage prodigy, “Merlyn Stone” before disappearing from the occult scene in 2001.

WIZARDRY includes not only the original cult classic “Sorcerer’ s Handbook of Merlyn Stone“, a work that has seen thousands of copies reaching circulation, but also “The Lost Books of Merlyn Stone“, returning attention to the original and rare in-house productions created for the Mystics of the Earth, Draconis Celtic Lodge of Druids, Elven Fellowship Circle of Magick and Order of the Crystal Dawn during the pre-Mardukite 1990′s.

“What has the “New Age,” the age of “enlightenment” become? Where is the true enlightenment? Where are the “no-nonsense” books for those who wish to live a mystical life of selfhonest enchanted enlightenment? Even the New Age has become blind and led astray from its true purpose. Much of the work of the noble wizard has become the “work” of fools seeking power, curses, and other things that will get you no where spiritually. Many well known new age authors now “fluff up” their newest release to appeal to the lonely house wife, the disturbed teenager, and many others who would use these things as a way to fix their problems, but not receive any enlightenment in the process. They see what many call “magick” as a way to make their lives easier so they don’t have to do the work, and the problem is so many of these books advertise themselves in that way! Where is the enlightenment, where is the self honesty, where is the true magick?” ~ James Thomas (from the Preface to Wizardry).

“I began my magickal education while attending college. Little then did I realize, so was a young boy who would later write the volume you now hold. My first brush with the enigmatic Merlyn Stone came almost a decade after I began my own magickal career. Looking through a catalog one day I spotted the ad for his debut work, The Sorcerer’s Handbook. The ad spoke about how the book “told it all without all the usual occult jargon.” That was its biggest selling point for me, so I bought it. I was pleasantly surprised when my copy arrived. Not only did it fulfill my expectations – it surpassed them. The Sorcerer’s Handbook presented many facets of occult knowledge in plain, easy to understand, language. Best of all though, it made magick practical for even the newest student.” ~ Myrddin Wolfe (from the Foreword to Wizardry).

“Man has certainly been engulfed with information in his “age of enlightenment,” but what practical work comes from all this knowledge? What I have accomplished alone and with the assistance of others in my short life thus far has already superseded those who have been content in only knowing the magickal theories and the concepts of metaphysics. These “bookshelf sorcerer’s” have never known magick – never felt its power running through their veins. They were content to just talk about it. . .and I was not. Magick is NOT a bi-monthly newsletter, a fancy society or organization or a weekly class. It is life itself and all that makes up existence. Every person in this world faces the building blocks of magick each day. The “sorcerer” (a term chosen for the operators of the present text of either gender) attains an upper hand because they can recognize the patterns and acknowledge these facets as they truly are, using them to manifest the world desired.” ~ Joshua Free (from the Introduction to Wizardry).

For centuries, the realm of magick has been sought, and finally what the world awaited for has arrived; a book that tells it all without the unnecessary occult jargon allowing for the quickest personal results in training and development. Just a few of the many topics explored are ritual spellcraft, candle magick, ceremonial high magick, tarot divination, the magick of the Golden Dawn, the complete Enochian arts and yes, even the Necronomicon!

With the reappearance of “Merlyn Stone” as Joshua Free, the Nabu of the modern “Mardukite” Anunnaki movement, there has been a resurgence of interest into the previous and ‘forgotten’ works that have led up to the now prolific literary career! This innovative experimental work from a young teenager did not reach the surface world in other forms and includes secret rites of initiation and methods of apprenticeship, illuminati magick and the practical use of energy in ways not typically observed in the conventional “New Age.”

Now you can master the powers of magick with a practical training program that has changed the world, launching hundreds of traditions in over a decade!

WICCA & THE MODERN WITCHCRAFT REVIVAL – A BRIEF HISTORY by MERLYN STONE

Tuesday, September 13th, 2011

Celebrating its 13th Anniversary, the Sorcerer’s Handbook of Merlyn Stone returns to the public after thousands of copies have reached circulation! This underground cult classic was originally written by Joshua Free in the 1990′s under the name “Merlyn Stone” while still a teenager! Just a few of the many topics explored are ritual spellcraft, candle magick, ceremonial high magick, tarot divination, the magick of the Golden Dawn, the complete Enochian arts and yes, even the Necronomicon! What follows is an excerpt from The Sorcerer’s Handbook providing a brief and concise history of the modern witchcraft revival in the Wicca tradition.

“It was not until 1951 that the Anti-Witchcraft & Magick Acts were appealed and the public practice of magick was no longer punishable by imprisonment or death. Magickal organizations and secret societies had previously existed seeking to perfect ceremonial magick (such as the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn) and figures like Aleister Crowley has already been consider-ed “witches.” An intensive revival interest in the witchcraft tradition was occurring in the late 19th Century independent of the ceremonial elitists, claiming a more rural peasant-orientation to mysticism, including a return to such paradigms as the gypsy folk traditions and “old wives’ tales.” (from The Sorcerer’s Handbook of Merlyn Stone)

“Three influential literary works appeared in 1890, which set the stage for the wiccan, neodruidic and neo-pagan movements of the 20th Century. The Golden Bough, written by Sir. James Frazer, is a monumental treatise classifying diverse folk and pagan traditions and customs, particularly those concerning Nature. The work became very influential among neo-druids, not so much from the opinions and interpretations, but because of the vast amount of folklore condensed within.”

“MacGregor Mathers translated the notorious grimoire, the Keys of Solomon. Most of the initial interest was limited to fellow members of the Golden Dawn (GD), but it later became a strong influence on Wicca.”

“Finally, Charles Leland, a historian of the gypsy and Strega traditions, published Aradia: Gospel of the Witches, presented as a secret oral tradition that led underground witches since the 14th Century.”

“In 1921, an anthropologist and Egyptologist named Margaret Murray, author of The Witchcult in Western Europe, reinvestigated the works mentioned above. This is what sparked Gerald Gardner’s revival of witchcraft in the form of “Wicca,” drawn from an old Anglo- Saxon root meaning “wise” or “wild.” The tradition, and the Book of Shadows used to found it, received input by two other figures seldom credited with any part of the founding of Wicca: Aleister Crowley and Ross Nichols.”

“The tradition borrows the ritual magick of ceremonialism, the correspondences of occult philosophy (The Keys of Solomon and The Magus). It draws from native Gypsy and Strega traditions of Eastern Europe and its Old Ways, coupled with Celtic, Druidic and Norse mysticism from Western Europe.”

“Neodruidism and most magickal organizations and secret societies were predominantly solar (Sun) oriented, whereas Wicca aligned its system to the Moon with an emphasis on the “goddess,” a focus that is not found extensively in Medieval and Renaissance magickal styles. Gardner’s tradition (also called “Gardnerian Wicca”) also promoted skyclad work within covens.”

“In the 1960s, Alexander Sanders (“Alexandrian Wicca”) became a self-proclaimed “King of the Witches,” leading an alternate wiccan tradition that placed a heavier emphasis on ceremonial magick and grimoire use.”

“Many of the facets of the overall system are quite old, but those who subscribe to the New Age eclectic tradition of the wiccan outline are practicing a system that was consolidated less then 100 years ago. It has also given rise to 1,000 derived traditions that are obviously younger. The lure of the magickal tradition, the ability to possess books of magick and don the wizard’s cap has captivated curious minds for centuries and true seekers have found this lifestyle by one means or another.”

“The great archetype of magick is universal, but also open to interpretation by a cultural consciousness and the individual psyche. The overwhelming inclination to pass manuscripts or ritual texts off as “older” than they are is an abundant concern in all forms of mysticism. It is, however, counterproductive to personal magickal development to get caught up in the whirlwind of origin and authenticity debates. Oral traditions and even personal (or family) systems have always operated in a mysterious manner and become even more cryptic when first transcribed into the written word.”

“Witchcraft has been misinterpreted, according to the New Age, as merely a feminine alternative to “masculine wizardry.” In Wicca, gender dualism is recognized. It would have to be, especially given that all of the prominent figures throughout the decades (Gerald Gardner, Isaac Bonewits, Alex Sanders, Raymond Buckland, Scott Cunningham, etc.) have been male! The covens, however, appear to be led by a High Priestess, who is considered spiritually superior to any priest. Some Dianic forms of Wicca are open to females only.”

“A significant increase of interest in Wicca emerged in the mid-1990s as a result of the motion picture, The Craft, which exclusively depicted young girls practicing magick. What is peculiar about this fad-appeal to Wicca is that the movie did not really depict Wicca at all so much as a Hollywood presentation of ceremonial and ritualized high magick. The “fictitious” grimoire used in the movie, The Invocation of the Spirit, was actually a copy of Waite’s Book of Ceremonial Magick (although the lightning-storm drawing does not appear in it, nor do any of the rituals the girls practiced).”

In the 21st Century, “Wicca” has become a household catchall term for many aspects of the New Age. What is actually practiced today is minimally based on the work of “Gardnerian” or “Alexandrian” interpretations. Some aspects of neodruidism overlap into the varying wiccan traditions and elements from all systems of magick, whether primitive shamanism or the Sacred Book of Magick of Abramelin the Mage, seem to be fair game. While some practitioners fault others for not knowing “their” version of the mystic practices, too many variations exist to qualify one or another as a “purer” strain.” (Blog post is from The Sorcerer’s Handbook of Merlyn Stone)

Lost Books of Merlyn Stone, Secrets of a Teenage Sorcerer’s Handbook

Best known for the publication of the Sorcerer’s Handbook of Merlyn Stone several other less circulated underground publications were released by the teenage prodigy writing as “Merlyn Stone” before disappearing from the public occult scene into the underground in 2001.

With his reappearance as Joshua Free, the Nabu of the modern “Mardukite” Anunnaki movement, there has been a resurgence of interest into the previous and ‘forgotten’ works of “Merlyn Stone” that have led up to his now prolific literary career!

Lost Books of Merlyn Stone returns to the original in-house productions created for the underground movements known as the Mystics of the Earth, Draconis Celtic Lodge of Druids, Elven Fellowship Circle of Magick and Order of the Crystal Dawn during the 1990′s.

Joshua Free

Considered a ‘prodigy’ in the 1990′s, Joshua Free wrote many underground manifestos on occult topics under the pseudonym “Merlyn Stone” while still a teenager, the first and most famous of these being the “Sorcerer’s Handbook” that is currently celebrating its 13th Anniversary in 2011 after reaching thousands of readers! Joshua Free is also the founder of Mardukite Ministries and author of several more recent works including Babylonian Myth & Magic, Sumerian Religion, Book of Elven-Faerie, The Hybrids (A Novel) and the Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible.

From the Lost Books of Merlyn Stone:

During the 1990′s the public interest in ‘magick’ and the ‘occult’ doubled – if not tripled or even quadrupled, exponentially rising to new heights that few could have anticipated. The amount of “New Age” material being published soared – the companies and creators that produced them had the ability to, for the first time in contemporary history, develop significant and legitimate income based on the “New Age.”

Now, someone reading this is going to quickly argue about all of the developments that they may have experienced in the 1960′s, and further still, we have the blossoming of occult lodges that became publicly visible during the turn of the 20th century – factions such as the Golden Dawn and hermetic schools of Theosophy that are now over 100 years old in their founding. I am certainly not going to deny the existence of these things – but lets face it, the occult revival has only just recently passed its infancy, and that is why it has had so many growth spurts, though it still exists to simply test its own limits and get a feel for its skin… While this is all changing now, existing in an ever-shifting face of reality.

I appeared on the “New Age” scene, however much ‘underground’ in 1995 as “Merlyn Stone.” As I have explained to others and in my recent autobiographical narrative, Nabu Speaks!, the name was chosen for personal reasons and not as a tribute to the female author (Merlin Stone) of whom I had not even heard of at that time.

The name “Merlyn” is not really a proper name, although it has been used to refer to particular figures (or a figure) in history, it is actually a title – a Welsh title – that can be best equated to what you might know as a seer or prophet. The contemporary reader may be more familiar with the Judeo-Christian religious context of the title, which in Hebrew is nabih, derived from the Babylonian name: Nabu.

I prefer the semantic of the seer, because to the modern mind, this idea of “prophet” is probably going to be lost on people – raising defenses unnecessarily and causing the messages to be lost. For that matter, I would prefer the concept of a messenger who is simply carrying a certain message as opposed to a prophet who is privy to unique and secret information that no one else is in possession of. While the later may be true to a certain extent, such might also apply to all people and times.

During only the three decades of my current existence in the physical realm I have watched as “crystal healers” went from working in basements in the 1980′s to having fully leased and store-fronted offices. I have watched as the thousands who once only reserved themselves to secluded monthly meetings and the study of books in closets by candlelight now wear their full regalia in public places reserved for large festivals and parades.

Don’t get me wrong – I understand that many of you have endured suffering still to this day for your inclinations toward a “mystical,” “occult” or otherwise “pagan” living philosophy. There are still more who are unable to exist in this freedom I have just described, worried for the very real repercussions and animosity that can come from work or family – lives in this system can be lost or laid to ruin. Believe me, I fully understand. But… times are changing still.

Mesopotamian Magic, Anunnaki Gods, Nebiru Watchers, Sumerian Sorcery & Gates of the Necronomicon

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

So much information has now been put forth on the internet, that it can be extremely difficult for the modern Seeker to filter what is the truth about some very important aspects of reality. Zecharia Sitchin began bringing much of this lore concerning the Igigi and Anunnaki Gods to the mainstream in the 1970′s. Around that same time, another revival in Sumerian and Babylonian tradition was also rising – but on a more practical level, at least from an occult or magickal perspective. This pathway of knowledge and power has come to be known as the “Gates of the Necronomicon” or the “Ladder of Lights,” a concept that appears in not only the ancient Mesopotamian traditions, but also those of the later Egyptians, Greeks and related occult schools (e.g. Freemasonry and Rosicrucianism).

The following is an official excerpt that appears in the introductory materials of the new Mardukite Truth Seeker Press limited edition cuneiform series hardcover edition of the Necronomicon – Anunnaki Bible edited by Joshua Free (and in portions of the appendix of Gates of the Necronomicon: Establishing Your Relationship with the Anunnaki Gods by Joshua Free & Sarah Banas).

The “magick” or practical applications of contained within leaves of the Mardukite Necronomicon cycle [edited by Joshua Free] is unarguably cryptic but not necessarily indecipherable to a serious or experienced seeker. The release of the new Mardukite “Necronomicon Report” under the guise of the Gates of the Necronomicon (previously known internally to the Mardukite Chamberlains as “Crossing to the Abyss”) should shed new light on this matter. When the seeker first approaches the core tablets, now compiled in the Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible, numerous questions immediately arise, showing evidence that a concrete tradition would require a much deeper interpretation from the heart of Babylon: the BAB.ILU or Gateway of the Gods, but more importantly, the earlier Sumerian origins of the lore.

Pictorial sigil-seal glyphs representing the “Seven Anunnaki Judges” of the “younger generation,” characters that also serve as “spiritual” and “dimensional” gatekeepers, were introduced to our system months after the release of the “Liber N” and the original hardcover Mardukite Necronomicon. They are coupled with sigils for the Supernal Trinity. Sarpanit, the wife of Marduk and patron goddess of Babylon is included for that very reason – she was originally the Mardukite magician or priest’s “personal goddess.” Many questions have arise concerning their origin, and it can be publicly stated at this juncture that they were indeed the product of personal “channeling” by the Mardukite Chamberlains after doing serious spiritual work and meditation at, what was called in 2009, “Nibiru Homes Offices” in Denver (Colorado), where many public open-door ceremonies and lectures were given (from June 2008 until October 2009).

Those who have previously studied and worked within either the Mesopotamian or the Simonian tradition in self-honesty seem to innately find the practicality of our work. Others, whose main intent is on material gain by spellcraft and ritual magick, look immediately for these types of ceremonial applications first – but they find that it seems to work a little bit differently by our interpretation. The powers of creation are bestowed to those who live in harmony with the universe and the guardians, thereof.

Extensive examples of prayers and devotional incantations are given in not only the Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible but also within Gates of the Necronomicon – Establishing Your Relationship with the Anunnaki Gods. Whether one has been truly and self-honestly dedicated to the system or not, the (often primordial) powers from these currents, to be channeled directly, must be first respected, and so one builds this “respect” up cumulatively, working through the pantheon as if an ancient “devotional” priest. [Or, you can amusingly grab their attention with threats, but see how far that gets you.] The magick, thus, comes directly from the relationship that is maintained with the “powers” believed to control such domains.
